Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and NIX Development LLC (“NIX,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the NIX Scoreboard app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use NIX Scoreboard

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it you represent that you are 13 or older and that the information you provide is accurate. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.

2. What the Service does

NIX Scoreboard lets you track your own screen time, add friends, form groups, and compete for the lowest screen time over various timeframes. Group leaders may name a non-monetary, in-app reward (such as a badge or a free-text prize they choose to honor themselves). NIX does not provide, fund, or guarantee any reward. Rewards are arranged solely among group members. The Service is a game, not a sweepstakes or gambling product.

3. Screen-time numbers & fair play

Screen-time figures are produced on your own device and may be self-corrected by you. They are approximate and cover only the apps you choose to track. You agree to submit honest numbers. The app uses an on-device-confirmed lower bound and other lightweight signals to flag entries that look implausible; flagged entries are shown with a verification indicator rather than removed. We may take action on accounts that repeatedly or deliberately falsify entries (see Section 7).

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as your display name, reward text, and any screenshots. You grant NIX a limited license to store and display that content within the Service to make the features work (for example, showing your number to your group). You are responsible for the content you submit and must have the right to share it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other people.
• Upload unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
• Cheat, automate, reverse-engineer, or otherwise interfere with the integrity of the leaderboards or the Service.
• Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.

6. Groups & leaders

A group leader can rename a group, set its reward text, remove members, and disband the group. If a leader deletes their account, leadership passes to the longest-standing remaining member; if none remain, the group is disbanded. Group members can see each other's daily numbers, ranks, and any proof screenshots within the group.

7. Suspension & termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the integrity of the competition. We will use reasonable judgment and, where practical, give notice.

8. The Service is provided “as is”

NIX Scoreboard is a free product offered “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Screen-time figures are approximate and are not a medical, wellness, or professional measurement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any number is exact.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NIX Development LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us (which is zero) or USD $50.

10. Apple-required terms

The Service is licensed, not sold, to you for use only under these Terms. This agreement is between you and NIX Development LLC only, not with Apple; Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You must comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and the usage rules in Apple's standard App Store EULA, which apply to your use of the Service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing law & contact
